- Your instructor will be a fully qualified Department of Transport
Approved Driving Instructor who will ensure that you are advised
with complete frankness concerning your training needs.
- All instruction will be one-to-one. No passengers will
be carried in the car without your prior approval (except Driving
Standards Agency officials)
- Training will take place in a suitable vehicle provided by ADT
with a manual gear box and dual controls.
- That you are insured for liability claims whilst driving the
school's vehicles when accompanied by an ADT instructor
or a Driving Standards Agency Examiner.
- There will be no smoking in the car at any time.
- The mobile phone will be switched off throughout the lesson.
- To try to safeguard your personal property but will not accept
liability for anything that you leave in vehicles or on the premises.
- To advise you when you are ready to attempt the Driving Test.
This advice will be based upon your continued progress and co-operation
over lessons and subject to reappraisal nearer the date of the
test.
- To withhold vehicles for the Driving Test if, in the instructor's
opinion, you do not reach the required standard.

- To be in possession of a
current provisional driving licence and capable
of reading a car number plate from 67feet (20.5m)
during all lessons.
- To pay for all lessons and courses in
advance.
- To pay a deposit of £25 per day
when booking an intensive course which will be
none refundable 7 days after the booking has
been confirmed by ADT.
- To pay for intensive courses
in full not less than 14 days prior to commencement
of the course (28 days for payments by cheque to allow for clearing).
- To pay an administration charge
of £15 if your cheque is returned by the bank.
- To keep appointments.
Your instructor will wait 15 mins at the agreed
pick up point before deeming the lesson cancelled
unless agreed otherwise. Lessons cancelled at
less than 48 hours notice will be charged in full.
Intensive course fees are not refundable should
you cancel with less than 14 days notice.
- To understand that a vehicle
may not be made available for your driving test
if your account is not in credit at
the time of the test appointment.
- Not to attempt to drive
under the influence of alcohol or drugs. (Heavy
drinking the night before a lesson may mean you
are still over the legal limit for driving the
next day. If you are taking any drugs /
medication, ask your doctor if they will affect
your driving.)
